Task Force Mapalad (TFM) is a national peasant-led organization advancing the rights of Filipino farmers through agrarian reform, food sovereignty, and social justice.
TFM works alongside farming communities in 35 provinces across 12 regions of the Philippines, helping farmers secure their land rights and strengthen sustainable rural livelihoods in areas covering more than 200,000 hectares of agricultural land.
Our presence spans Region II (Cagayan and Isabela); Region III (Nueva Ecija); Region IV-A (Cavite and Batangas); Region VI (Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo); the Negros Island Region (Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental); Region VII (Cebu); Region VIII (Leyte, Northern Samar, and Samar); Region IX (Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga del Sur); Region X (Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental); Region XI (Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental); Region XII (Cotabato, Sarangani, and Sultan Kudarat); and the Caraga Region (Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur).
This broad grassroots presence enables TFM to organize and empower rural communities, defend and advance agrarian reform, promote climate-resilient and sustainable agriculture, and ensure that the voices of smallholder farmers influence local and national policymaking.
We remain an independent people’s organization—never beholden to corporate, landlord, or political interests—guided solely by our commitment to social justice and the empowerment of Filipino farmers.
TFM is driven by a singular allegiance: to the rural poor and to the struggle for justice.
We don’t just organize — we empower. We don’t just demand — we win.
For over 25 years, we’ve combined grassroots strength with strategic legal, policy, and media engagement to protect and advance land rights in the Philippines.
We also recognize that the destruction of ecosystems, loss of biodiversity, and degradation of soils threaten the very foundations of life.
That’s why our fight for land is also a fight to heal landscapes, restore fertility, and protect the natural wealth that sustains present and future generations.
